If you are planning to use your PC as a server, then it becomes important to make sure that PC can withstand the maximum load on it. HeavyLoad is free tool which is intended to stress all resources of a PC like CPU, RAM, hard disk, network, operating system, etc. in order to test, if it will run reliably under heavy load. To stress your PC or server, HeavyLoad writes a large test-file to the temp folder, it allocates physical and virtual memory and it draws patterns in its window.
Once installed, you can set the parameter which needs to be tested. You can enable or disable CPU stress testing, physical and virtual memory testing and also writing file to temporary folder.
This is useful for testing important file or database servers before using them production environment, or just to check if your new PC might get too hot when used intensively.
Thanks Nirmal, will check this.
