For a successful blog, we all use lot of blogging tools. I had written a post about my blogging toolkit. The basic blogging tool kit include a blogging platform and a blogging client. Apart from this we require a lot of other tools for traffic, feeds, advertising etc. Here is the list of the other useful free tools for blogging.
Blog Statistics:
Blog stats are important for any blog to determine the visitor count and to determine the performance of blog in terms of traffic. Stats are also important to analyze the how readers came to your blog, from which place and what time. Google Analytics is one of the most favored tool. It has a wide range of options. Other than Google, few other sites which offer free stats analyzers are;
Blog Directories:
For the blog to become more successful, we need to submit to blog directories. Blog directories are good way to promote your blog. There are many blog directories and I’m listing a few prominent ones here.

Images are very important for blogs as they appeal to the readers. If the blogging platform does not have a good hosting service, free image hosting services can be used. The advantage of using free image hosting services is that they offer unlimited space or without any restrictions. But they are have the disadvantage that they are not fully reliable. Nice post Nirmal, but you need to remove Allyoucanupload.com from the list. I tried to upload couple of images and then publish it on my blog, I woke up the other day and found out they’ve deleted those images.

Hmm… my favorite tool is the good old paper. My job might require me to travel a lot sometimes and I always keep a piece of paper in hand so that I can pen my thought and they become the future blog post. 🙂
