Adobe reader is the most popular freeware to open .PDF files. The problem with Adobe Reader is it takes up lot of memory and slow to open. Adobe Reader SpeedUp is a free Windows utility that disables various features of Adobe PDF Reader to improve performance and decrease memory usage. This plugin can be freely enabled and disabled, if required.
Adobe Reader Speed-Up has been created as an effort to automate the process of speeding up Adobe Reader’s launch time by disabling the majority of plugins that are completely useless for most users.
To remove Adobe Reader Speed-Up from your system, simply quit the application and delete its directory.
Requirements: VB Runtime
Adobe has always been a heavy install on windows machines. Though it provides a host of functionalities, a regular computer user rarely uses all these features. All a user wants is it to handle pdf files and read them thus making them viewable.
I have uninstalled Adobe reader and installed PDFViewer from thindownload.com. It works perfectly fine and doesn’t even need installation. And to top all, uses minimal resources. I’ happy with this rather than using the heavy Adobe reader.
I haven’t yet experienced any such problems with the latest version of Adobe Reader , but if I do then this tool would be certainly worth trying out.
Adobe reader is the most popular freeware to open .PDF files?
I think not anymore, because there are lots of other freeware PDF reader out there which are more faster like FOXIT READER and requires very low system requirements than ADOBE READER
Try FoxIt reader – that’s much better.
