Firefox 3 which has been in development for long time now is getting ready for final release. Mozilla has announced the Release Candidate 1 for Firefox 3 after almost 5 beta releases. We has tried out the beta releases and has few crashes in Windows Vista when opening too many tabs. Firefox 3 is faster than Firefox 2 and in case you have not tried out the beta version, you can try the RC1 or wait for the final build.
New Features in this version;
- Improvements to the user interface including changes to the look and feel on Windows Vista, Windows XP, Mac OS X and Linux.
- Changes and fixes for new features such as the location bar auto complete, bookmark backup and restore, full page zoom.
- Fixes and improvements to platform features to improve security, web compatibility and stability.
- Continued performance improvements: changes to our JavaScript engine as well as profile guided optimization continues to improve performance over previous releases as measured by the popular SunSpider test from Apple, and in the speed of web applications like Google Mail and Zoho Office.
NB: Stumble Upon add-on is not compatible with RC1
Thats some good improvement shown by firefox 🙂 The browser always rocks and i prefer it over internet explorer and opera.
Btw i had heard that firefox is for mobile too very soon, any info on that?
I will not download till i get a stable version,i need stumble upon addon 🙁
