FLV Extract is a free program for extracting video and audio from FLV files without decompressing or re compressing. The video is saved as AVI or raw elementary stream. The audio is saved as MP3, AAC or WAV. The application in itself is very simple and easy to use with minimum effort.
You can drop the FLV files into the Visual basic program and select the items which you would like to extract. There are three options available- Video, timecodes and audio. FLV Extract currently writes out separate video/audio files which you would have to join.
Few things to note:
- The AVIs will not play unless you have the right decoders.
- The extracted MP3s may appear to have an incorrect duration in your audio player. This is because FLV Extract doesn’t generate a VBR header, but the files are perfectly valid
This is terrific! Thanks so much! So simple and easy!
Maybe a small help file somewhere… You have two executables in the zip file, not sure what the second one does.
