Many times when we tweet we might have fallen short because of the 140 character limit for Twitter. TwitterEyes is a Firefox Add-on which will shorten the tweets before sending by replacing some words and extra spaces in the Tweets. Currently TwitterEyes can shorten only few characters which includes any extra spaces you might have put in, words like “and” which gets turned into “&” and also “first” which becomes “1st.”
Presently there is no option to add any new replacement, but in future versions we can see more support for characters and also user specified words.
This add-on adds a button next to the Twitter update button. When you click TwitterEyes, it remove the defined words and spaces.
This add-on could be useful if users can add their own words and letters for replacement which might be in future versions. This is an experimental add-on, so you will need to login to download.
Nice addon for Twitter users, but it must allow user defined words to get popular like twitter. The above two screenshots with TwitterEyes has same number of words before and after :))
