Mortens ShutDown is a free tool to shut down a computer at a specific date and time. Al you need to do is to set the date and time and the computer will automatically shutdown at the specified time. There are several shut down modes supported as there are a simple user log-off, or restart or shutdown or power off the computer. All applications which are running and that would prevent the computer from shutting down can be automatically killed.
Apart from this, you can abort the shut down procedure or change the time settings (remotely) during run by changing the INI-file. It can also control the launch of any application (from a remote computer) via an INI file. For example, if the INI file is set up in a shared network location, then changing the file will change the shutdown in the actual PC.
While Mortens Shutdown is running on the remote machine you can setup an application to launch using the INI file. Once you have set the “launch” flag in the INI file the application will trigger the launch of the requested application (script) on the remote machine. The logging file can also be monitored remotely.
Mortens Shutdown is more than just a shutdown tool with additional options to control it remotely.
