We have covered a free application called TweetMyPC, which allows you to control your PC from Twitter. TwitAction is another free tool written in Java, which allows you to execute programs on your PC based on keywords in your Tweet. You can define what keywords TwitAction should listen to and as soon as you twitter one of those keywords, the associated program will be executed. The program sits in your system tray and checks for your Tweets.
Click on the + symbol in the tool to add the keywords and the application to start when this keyword is found in your Tweet. This is useful if you want to run a particular program in a remote machine at a specific time. All you need is to Tweet the keyword and this tool will pick it and execute the program.
