Microsoft Project is a tool bundled in Office suite which enables you to manage projects more efficiently and effectively. You can control project work, schedules, and finances, keep project teams aligned, and be more productive with this tool. If you get a Microsoft Project file, then you will not be able to open it without installing MS Project. MOOS Project Viewer is a free Microsoft Project viewer software application that allows you to open, view in a dynamic way and print any Microsoft Project file.
It is running on any Java enabled platform and hence compatible with Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. This free tool is just a viewer, so you cannot edit any files using this tool.
If you receive a file generated with MS Project and you don’t have Microsoft Project and you only need to view it then you need a Microsoft Project viewer and if possible a free or an affordable one.
Features:
- Open any and all Microsoft Project files (mpp, mpt, xml) and Microsoft Project versions (2000, 2003, 2007)
- No need to have MS Project installed on your computer
- Easy to use interface (easier that with Microsoft Project)
- Available views: Gantt Chart, Task Sheet, Resource Sheet, Resource Usage, Tracking Gantt, Calendars
- Print any view
- Wide Gantt chart timescale range (from minutes to years)
