Mozilla Labs has released a new experimental add-on which brings contact management to Firefox. The Contacts add-on once installed, integrates with local and web-based address books to bring all of a user’s contact data into a single database, which can then be used by browser extensions or web content. Currently this add-on can import contacts from Gmail as well as Twitter with some restrictions. Once installed, open the Tools menu and select Contacts.
You can import from Twitter address book provided you have saved the Twitter username and password on Firefox. You can also import from Gmail if you have an active Gmail session open. Once added, you can view the contacts in the top left side tab. There is also option to empty all the contacts. The best feature of this add-on is that next time you want to type an email address for any form in Firefox, the contact add-on will provide you with options from the contact list.
This makes easy to fill in email addresses in Firefox. Although the add-on is currently in experimental stage, it does well with the restriction. More details on the add-on available here.
