Few days back Microsoft Fuse Labs had announced a new project Spindex, which brings you an overview of your entire social world in one page. With Spindex you can connect to Facebook, Twitter, Evernote, RSS, and Bing in one single location without having to open these pages independently. With more services being worked on, Spindex is definitely an useful social aggregator. It allows you to access and interact with your social networks, see trends from your friends.
Currently Spindex is invite only, so so you request for an invite here using your Windows Live ID. Once you log in you can see the option to add your social networks, currently it supports Twitter, Facebook, Evernote and adding RSS feeds. Once you have authenticated these services, you can access them from home page. The interface is pretty simple and networks are arranged neatly on the sidebar. You can get updates from either one of the network or from all.
You also get to see the latest activities in the network, including who has been more active and also the trending topics.
One thing we noticed is that the interface is not very fast although it is very simple and easy to use. Currently Spindex is in tech preview, so we can expected a much more refined UI in later phases.
