Although Zip files have option to lock or protect it, we know that the protection can be easily damaged as there are many tools to remove the zip protection easily. Zip Lock is a freeware portable program which allows you to secure and encrypt your zip files. The programs creates a new extension for zip files after encrypting, so that the file can be only opened by Zip Lock. You can specify a password for locking.
To use the app, drag and drop the zip files on to the icon of ZipLock. You can specify a password and click on the button on the top. The app creates a new file with the extension .zlb (Zip Lock Bag). You can unlock it only if you specify the password after opening the file with Zip Lock.
Even if you specify the wrong password, it extracts a zip file, but you wont be able to open it as corrupted.
The app is compatible with Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7.
