Caldera is a nice freeware app for Windows based on Adobe Air which can do the job of image resizing and renaming. With Caldera you can resize, rename and recompile your images in a batch. Just drag and drop your images to the app and it starts working. Resize your images by scale or specify a maximum width or height to fit in the images. The interface of Caldera is pretty good and easy to use.
You can also rename your images automatically (prefix plus number) and select a new folder to save. There is also option to save the image in another format. You can convert the image to JPEG, PNG and GIF format while processing.
The GUI is very user-friendly and great looking, with a nice theme and pleasant colors, while providing easy access to all the functions. The app requires Adobe AIR runtime for working.
