We have covered many tools like Clipboard History Manager, ClipCube and PasteCopy.NET to manage the Windows clipboard when you have copied multiple items. Here is another freeware tool, MClip to view and manage Windows clipboard items. The app is written in Java and captures all the items including files, text images etc and displays a list of items copied to clipboard in Windows. The app features a simple and easy to use interface.
If you have copied text, you can view the text content, if you have copied image, it can be previewed. If a file is copied, the location of the file is displayed. You can set the shortcut keys for the app from the preferences.
The program’s purpose is to be fully integrated with the operating system, using as few resources possible while being fully functional and user friendly. Since the app is written in Java, you need to have Java runtime installed on your PC.
I just released a new installer (1.0-RC02) that contains a few changes that you might want to look at :
* upon selection (double click) of an history entry the window closes automagically so that you are ready to paste the snippet.
* fixed a ‘bug” that made the window not be the activeone with the focus.
Any comments / suggestions appreciated.
