Now with the release of Google’s new social networking platform, Picasa has suddenly come to the attention as images on Google+ are hosted on Picasa with unlimited storage. Now if you have used Facebook as your primary photo sharing tool, you might be having lots of albums hosted on Facebook. We have already covered a free service called Move2Picasa which will help you move the photos to Picasa. The developer has now released a new extension for Google Chrome for the same purpose.
Once installed, just open the extension settings and it will load all the albums you have uploaded to Facebook (You need to first authenticate the extension to use Facebook albums and also Picasa). You can either select a complete album or pick the photos you want to move to Facebook.
Once you have selected the images, click on the Upload photos button and the process starts. We tried uploading the photos and it worked very well. The actual time taken for upload depends on the number of photos you have selected.
The extension create the album with the same name as in Facebook, so its easy to identify the photos.
