Often when searching for a particular file inside a folder, you need to open the folders to see the type of files available inside it. Folder Explorer is a simple and easy to use freeware tool for Windows which quickly determines type of files available inside a folder and the number of files available of each type determined. It also gives the other details of the files and the ability to filter out files based on the attributes of the files.
You can either drag and drop the folders on to the app or use the context menu to add a folder. In the top section, it lists out all the type of files and when you click on a particular type, the bottom section shows the list of files with that selected file type.
Double clicking on the file opens it with default file opener. Folder Explorer is a useful program designed to offer details about a single folder and it´s content and provide some convenient options that aren’t normally available. The app does not take details about any folders and sub folders inside the main folder.
