Microsoft’s The Garage project team has released a new freeware utility called “Mouse without Borders” which allows you to manage multiple PCs (maximum upto 4) using a single keyboard and mouse. Often we use multiple desktops while working and having a separate keyboard and mouse for each of these is not the best option. With this free utility, you can use one keyboard and mouse to control multiple desktops connected, the only requirement is that all the PCs should be a part of single desktop.
You need to install the app on all the PCs you want to control. Once installed, you can access them using the single keyboard and mouse.
You can can move files between the 2 computers simply by dragging them from one desktop to another. In fact you can control up to four computers from a single mouse and keyboard with no extra hardware needed.

Apart from this, the tool also allows you to customize the logon screen in Windows by adding an image from Bing. This can be configured from the system tray.
