When Twitter desktop clients were released almost all of them worked on Adobe AIR and most of them has memory hog issues. But one of the advantages of using Adobe Air is that it is cross platform. TweekDeck is one of the most popular desktop apps for Twitter and now available as a native app for Windows and Mac. TweetDeck was acquired by Twitter and this move comes a part of the new interface rolled out by Twitter for web, iPhone and Android users.
The new TweetDeck is more responsive and also has a slick UI. The icons and colors have been changed and given the same blue color of the new Twitter apps for iPhone and Android.
You can add your Twitter and Facebook accounts using the new TweetDeck as well. Overall a good improvement in UI and most importantly the non-dependency on Adobe Air.
