If you are finding it difficult to find any public hangouts, then this extension for Google Chrome called Hangout Canopy solves this problem, by watching your friend’s public activity and sending all public hangouts back to the Hangout Canopy network.
Once you install the extension, it searches for all the public hangouts available in real time and also shows the number of people currently in the hangout. You can simply go to the hangout and join it easily. There is also option to watch a profile for hangouts. In this feature, you can add multiple profiles to the watch list and whenever the user starts a hangout, you will be notified.
