Orkut App for iOS Released

Orkut was one of the popular social networking sites in India, but over a period of time Facebook and Twitter has become more popular. Although Google tried to add more features to it, the lack of users in other countries didn’t work its way. But is seems like Google is not ready to leave the social site completely, they have now launched an iOS app for Orkut. The app is intended for iPhone and iPod and also works with iPad with smaller window.

The app has a simple UI and you can check your scraps, profile, updates and friends.

• Reply to your friends birthdays
• Check your friends updates
• Browse your friends profiles, scraps and photos
• Take new photos and upload them directly to your Orkut albums

What’s your take on the app? Will it be able to revive the social network? Orkut had released its Android app back in 2010.
