Meebo is a social platform connecting users with other users through the internet and it started as a browser based instant messaging program which supported multiple IM services, including Yahoo! Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, AIM, ICQ, MySpaceIM, Facebook Chat, Google Talk, CafeMom and others. It also offers mobile based chat apps for Android and iOS. Recently Google had announced the acquisition of Meebo and soon after that there was the announcement of Meebo shutting down their services.
Meebo will be shutting down Meebo Messenger, Sharing on Meebo, Meebo Me and all Meebo Mobile Apps which includes our iPhone, Android, and Blackberry apps. If you have been using these services, you need to look for other alternatives. Below are some of the alternatives to Meebo services.
