With less than 10 days to go before the mega event of Olympics 2012 starts, there is excitement all around. The games are scheduled to take place in London, United Kingdom, from 27 July to 12 August 2012. The event will also be covered Live across the World on major television channels. You can also catch up all the action from your web browser using the Live stream available.
If you are travelling, then probably the best way to catch up with all the live action is using smartphones. BBC has released a new smartphone app, available for iPad, iPhone and Android phones, which allows users to watch the games live on their phone.
The app features live coverage of the games as well as on-demand, both of which can be accessed via 3G or Wi-Fi. There’s also live commentary, schedules, medal counts, highlights, and also comes with separate page for each country, event and also athletes.
The BBC Olympics app is available on iOS versions 5.0+ and for Android 2.2 and above. Flash must also be installed to watch the live video and highlights on Android.
