With Windows 8 already in RTM stage and final availability on October 26th, all PC manufactures are busy announcing their latest tablets, ultrabooks, hybrid PC and All-in-One desktops. Windows 8 is primarily designed for touch based interface although it work well on normal desktops as well. So in case you are planning to get a new desktop, you should probably think of a touch display as well. All-in-one desktops are mostly powered by touch screen making them suitable for Windows 8.
Many of the PC makers have already announced multiple touch screen AIOs running Windows 8 which will be available in October end. Here is a list of all Windows 8 AIO PC announced. This list does not cover the existing AIO available running Windows 7 or upgradable to Windows 8. We will update this list with new PCs as and when they are announced.
Samsung AIO:
As of now Samsung has announced 3 All-in-One PCs running Windows 8 and they will be available on October 26th when Windows 8 is formally released. The new models announced are Series 5 and Series 7 ( two models).
1. Series 5:
The series 5 is a 21.5-inch all-in-one touch screen PC, which Samsung describes as a “kitchen-style PC.” Its legs are on either end of the display. The Series 5 will go on sale for $749, and it includes a Core i3 processor, 4GB of RAM and 500GB of storage and is the cheapest AIO running Windows 8 from Samsung.
2. Series 7 (23 inch and 27 inch):
The Series 7 will be available in 23- and 27-inch screen sizes, both of which run Windows 8 on 1080p touchscreen. The 23-inch Series 7 runs a Core i5 CPU with 6GB of RAM, 1TB of storage and Intel Graphics 4000 and costs around costs $1,099 while the 27-inch model comes with a Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, 1TB of storage and discrete AMD Radeon HD 7850M graphics for $1,699.
All three AIOs have two USB 3.0 ports, three USB 2.0 connections, HDMI and a media card reader.
Dell AIO:
1. Dell XPS One 27
Dell has announced only one AIO running Windows 8. XPS One 27 is an AIO from Dell running Windows 8 on a 10-point touch display. The screen boasts a Quad HD (2560 x 1440) resolution and offers a choice of Core i5 or Core i7 Ivy Bridge processors, which can support up to 16GB of memory, up to a 2TB hard drive and an optional NVIDIA GeForce GT640M GPU.
Acer AIO:
1. Acer ZS600:
Acer has announced only one All-in-one desktop based on Windows 8. The desktop comes with a 23-inch Full HD LED display with 10-point multitouch, and it also includes inbuilt speakers with Dolby Home Theatre v4.0 audio enhancement, a TV tuner, and an optional Blu-ray drive. It features Intel’s 3rd generation chipset which supports up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 640, as well as a generous 2TB SATA hard disk.
Sony AIO:
1. Tap 20:
Tap 20 as the name indicates is a 20-inch, 1,600 x 900 touchscreen from Sony which runs Windows 8. It comes with Core i3, i5 or i7 processor and also has 750GB or 1TB hard drives. It has a reclining mode which allows you to use as a table top desktop.
Lenovo AIO:
1. A520:
Lenovo’s new AIO A520 comes with a 23 inch screen which can be tilted between 5 and 90 degrees. It features a 10 point multi touch, Core i7 CPU, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 1TB of HDD storage and an optional Blu-ray player. A520 does not have a dedicated graphics card and ships with Intel HD 4000 graphics.
2. B340/ B345:
Lenovo B340 comes with a 21.5-inch (1080p) touchscreen display, with a choice of a Core i7 processor or AMD quad-core APU on the inside. It is also offered with 2GB NVIDIA GeForce 615. B345 will have the same specs as B340 except for the fact that it will come with 1GB AMD Radeon HD7470A GPU.
Fujitsu AIO:
1. Esprimo X:
As of now there isn’t much details available for this AIO PC. It runs on Intel’s third-generation vPro chipset (up to Core i5 configurations). It features an adjustable touch display, which can even be laid out completely flat across any surface and also a proximity sensor for power saving management.

1. HP Spectre One:
The HP SpectreONE AiO PC has a gorgeous ultraslim design complemented by a 23.6-inch flush-glass full HD display and a unique curved back. At just 11.5 millimeters thin, the HP SpectreONE is the thinnest AiO PC in HP’s portfolio, and one of the thinnest AiO PCs available on the market today. It also delivers connectivity with HP’s TouchZone near-field communication (NFC) technology and a full array of ports, including two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI-in and a Beats Audio headphones jack. With HP’s TouchZone NFC technology, users simply tap a smartphone or NFC tags on the base of the HP SpectreONE to instantly transfer content or login to the PC.
The HP SpectreONE is expected to be available in the United States in November with a starting price of $1,299.
2. HP ENVY 23/ ENVY 20:
It come equipped with the latest Intel® processors, optional ExpressCache and solid state drives (SSDs), and up to 3 terabytes of storage for photos, videos and music. The ExpressCache SSD option provides users with fast boot-up and application start times. They also offer Beats Audio and exclusive HP innovations such as the HP TrueVision HD webcam, HP Connected Photo, HP Connected Backup and HP Connected Music powered by Meridian.
The HP ENVY 23 TouchSmart and HP ENVY 20 TouchSmart AiO PCs are expected to be available in the United States in October at starting prices of $999 and $799, respectively.
3. HP Pavilion 20:
For users craving the ease and space-saving design of an HP AiO PC at a great value, the HP Pavilion 20 AiO PC packs a 20-inch diagonal HD display in an attractive easel design. The HP Pavilion 20 offers intuitive features, including an HP TrueVision HD webcam, to keep users connected to family and friends. The HP Pavilion 20 also offers the new HP Connected Remote, HP Connected Photo and HP Connected Music.
The HP Pavilion 20 is expected to be available in the United States in October with a starting price of $449.
