Apple had launched the new iOS 6 along with new iPhone 5 back in September. There are many new features and also improvements to existing features in iOS6. Business Insider is reporting that Apple has enabled Ad-tracking on iOS6, but this has not been mentioned anywhere. With iOS6, the company has started tracking users so that advertisers can target them again, through a new tracking technology called IFA or IDFA. Although the ad-tracking is enabled, you can easily opt of of this on your iPad or iPhone.
Ad-tracking is enabled to show ads that are relevant to you and Apple does not use any of these information or track personal details, but if you still want to opt out, you can do it from Settings.
Open the settings and go to General. Under the general settings, scroll down and you can see the option Advertising.
Under Advertising, move the slider of Limit Ad Tracking to On.
This will prevent ad tracking in iOS6.
