2012 has been the year of tablets with so many models released running Windows, Android and the most popular iOS. This trend is supposed to continue and there are reports suggesting that tablets will replace desktops and laptops in future because of the portability. Almost all the popular companies Apple, Samsung, Asus, Microsoft etc have their own tablets running different OS and different screen sizes. The optimal screen size of tablets is around 10 inches as iPad has set a benchmark in this segment. Recently we had covered some of the best Android tablets available today and we are not covering the best 10 inch tablets available.
These tablets run Apple iOS, Microsoft’s Windows RT and also Android OS. Below is the list of best 10 inch tablets.

The latest iPad adds several tweaks and improvements to secure its position at the top of the tablet heap. It is currently the best tablet in the 10inch screen size.
Prices for iPad 4th generation starts at $499.
2. Google Nexus 10:

With the world’s highest resolution tablet display, all new multi-user support, immersive HD content and the best Google apps, makes it one of best Android tablets in 10 inch screen. The only problem with Surface RT as of now is that apps are limited and also RT is not a full fledged OS. A higher version of Surface, the Pro version with Windows 8 is coming this year, which might be a good product.
5. Asus Transformer Pad:
Asus Transformer Pad is similar to the infinity version, but it is cheaper. It comes with a 10.1-inch screen with a 1280×800 resolution in-plane switching display and a 1.2GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. There’s also an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera, and 16GB of storage that can be augmented by the addition of a microSD card.
Apart from these, there are Samsung Note 10.1 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 which sports the 10 inch screen and runs on Android.
What about the Samsung Galaxy Tab? It is better than the iPad. The iPad is not the best tablet.
iPad is definitely one of the best and it is evident from the sales. Yes, Galaxy tab is good one, but when we take the top 5 these are the best ones IMHO. Probably the galaxy tab and Note 10.1 are other contenders.
