Google’s Nexus 7 tablet running Android Jelly bean was launched back in June last year at the Google I/O event. Initially it was not available in India, but later in November ASUS launched the Nexus 7 tablet with a hefty price tag of 19999 INR. This was almost double the price Nexus 7 was sold in US and moreover various online sites were selling the devices for 15000k and less.
But now Google has officially listed the Nexus 7 in Google Play Store in India and is now available for purchase online. So if you are in India, you can now order the Nexus 7 tablet for INR 15999.
The play store says that shipping will be on April 5th. As of now, only the 16GB Wi Fi ONLY variant is listed and there is no mention of other models.
So is it worth buying? We would say get if and only if you want to get the core Android experience, moreover the price seems to be on higher side and also the device is now old and probably Google is already working on new models. Samsung has launched the new Galaxy Note 8.0, which was announced in MWC 2013.
Now that Nexus 7 has come to India, we can expect Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 to reach India soon.
