After releasing the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 at the MWC 2013, Samsung has now announced a new 7.0 inch tablet, the Galaxy Tab 3. The Galaxy Tab 3 looks very similar the Note 8.0 released few weeks back. It comes with a 7-inch display (1024×600 resolution and 169 ppi) and powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB or 16 GB of internal storage. It also has a microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB of storage.
The device also features a 3MP rear camera and 1.2MP front shooter. The battery of the devices is 4000mAH.
There is no mention of pricing at this time. The Galaxy Tab 3 Wi-Fi version will be available globally beginning May and 3G version will follow in June. The product availability varies by market and will be rolled out gradually. More details here.
Here is a comparison of Galaxy Tab 3 with Nexus 7 and HP Slate 7 (Specification).
If you look at the spec, Nexus 7 is the clear winner here, but Slate 7 is lower priced since it does not come with 3G option. As of now we do not have any information on the Tab 3 pricing.
