Google Now is an intelligent personal assistant developed by Google that is available within the Google Search mobile application for the Android and iOS operating systems. Google Now uses a natural language user interface to answer questions, make recommendations, and perform actions by delegating requests to a set of web services. Google Now shows information in the form of cards which provide user with relevant details based on their requirement.
We had covered some of the best cards for Google Now. At the Google I/O conference, a set of new Google Now cards were announced.
The new cards announced are;
- Reminders
- Music Albums
- TV Shows
- Public Transit
- Books
- Video Games
With the new reminders in Now, not only can you save things to remember later, but you can actually pick a time or place to trigger those reminders, so they pop up at just the right time. For example you can set a reminder to buy milk and eggs and then set to remind you when you actually reach a grocery shop.
And if you’re interested in an upcoming book or there’s a new album you’re excited to listen to, Google Now will shoot you a reminder when it comes out, and even provide a recommendation. And the best part is, you can create some of these reminders with just your voice.
Google Now is available for Android and iOS.
