At the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2013), ASUS had announced the 7 inch tablet FonePad, similar to Google Nexus 7. Today, at the Computex 2013 in Taiwan, ASUS has announced a new 6-inch 1080p device called the FonePad Note. FonePad Note is an Android tablet with 1080p Super IPS+ display and runs on 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor with SGX544 MP2 GPU with 2GB of RAM.
The tablet runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1 and the screen resolution is at 1920×1080 pixels. It also features 8MP auto focus rear camera and a 1.2MP front-facing camera for video calls. Although there is no 4G LTE support, the tablet can connect to 3G networks for data.
The FonePad Note will also come with a stylus pen that can be used for taking down notes and also for drawing. The device comes in 16GB and 32GB variants and there is no mention of microSD card support. It also packs a 3200 mAh battery.
As of now there is no mention on the pricing and availability of FonePad Note.
