While Microsoft released the Windows 8.1 yesterday at the BUILD conference, it is a public preview which mean all existing users could download and install the new update. The update was released for Windows 8 and RT users as well. But there are few PCs where Windows 8.1 is not supported.
Windows 8.1 Preview isn’t currently supported on some tablets and PCs with newer 32-bit Atom processors, but Microsoft is working on an update for these machines. So in case you are using one such PC, you need to check for new updates frequently.
Here is a list of tablets/PC where Windows 8.1 is not supported:
- Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2
- ASUS VivoTab TF810C
- Samsung ATIV Smart PC
- HP ElitePad 900
- HP ENVY x2
- Fujitsu ARROWS Tab
If you have one of these tablets or PCs, please revisit this site periodically, as it is expected that most of them to be supported during the preview.
