Back in July 2012, Microsoft had unexpectedly announced their Windows 8 and RT tablets, the Surface Pro and Surface RT which featured the 10.6 inch screen and host of features. We also had done a detailed comparison of Surface Pro with Surface RT. A year later, it was clear that Surface RT was a big failure as it failed to impress and the main reason was the OS which had many shortcomings.
But now, Microsoft is once again back with the second generation Surface tablets which runs on Windows 8.1 which is vastly improved from the first version. The new Surface tablets comes in two variants like the first generation- the Surface Pro 2 and Surface 2.
