Nokia announced their first tablet running Windows 8.1, the Nokia Lumia 2520 at the Nokia World in Abu Dhabi. The tablet comes with a 10.1 inch 1080p full HD (1920×1080) display which has the Gorilla Glass 2. It is powered by 2.2GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which is currently the most powerful processor used on smartphones (this processor also powers the Nokia Lumia 1520). It also comes with a 6.7MP rear camera and is supported by the Nokia Camera app which combines the Pro Camera and the Smart Camera app from Nokia. The device also has 4G LTE support along with all the high end specs you would want on a tablet.
Lumia 2520 comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB on-board storage along with SkyDrive support. There is also support for microSD card by which you can expand by another 32GB.
The device is powered by a 8000mAh battery which can provide close to 11 hours of backup when using the tablet.
We had a quick hands on of the device from Nokia World and we were really impressed with the quality. The device is made of poly carbonate material similar to Nokia Lumia phones and comes in four colors- Red, Cyan, Black and White. The edges of the tablet are slimmed down to make it easier to hold and the tablet feels really good in hands. The device runs on Windows 8.1 RT and Nokia has bundled few new apps like Nokia Story Teller, Video Director, Nokia Music and also the Nokia Camera. There is also Microsoft Office 2013 with Outlook, so managing your emails, documents and presentations won’t be an issue.
Check out the video to see how the tablet looks and also a quick look into the new apps.

Additionally Nokia has also announced a new power keyboard accessory which can give an additional 5 hours backup and also provides a full fledged keyboard functionality to the device and also acts a protective cover. The accessory also comes with two USB ports in case you want to add more devices to the tablet.
The power keyboard has good build quality and has a matte finish to it. Although the keyboard was really good when used with the tablet, we found that it attracted quite a lot of dirt because of the matte finish. Here is a quick hands on of the Power Keyboard for Nokia Lumia 2520.
Don’t let the matte finish and dirt collection deter you. You should wipe your keyboard off daily to clean it anyway.
