After rumors and speculations on the specifications of the new LG G3, the company has finally announced its latest flagship phone today. The phone is the successor of the popular G2 which was announced last year in August. The new flagship comes with 5.5 inch Quad HD 2560×1440 display and run on Android 4.2.2, KitKat. The phone comes with an advanced 13MP camera with OIS+ and laser autofocus and 2.1MP front camera. The phone has a Quad HD display which is first of its kind on a main stream device (although Vivo Xplay 3S is the first Quad HD phone).
Apart from this, the phone also runs on a Snapdragon 801 processor which is also powering other Android flagship phones like the HTC One M8, Sony Xperia Z2 and also the Samsung Galaxy S5. The device comes with 2GB/3GB RAM based on the variant. There will also be 16GB or 32GB internal storage included in the device. The device will also come with a 3000mAh battery like LG G2. This is one of the most anticipated device after the Samsung Galaxy S5 which was released back in February at the MWC 2014 in Barcelona.

The camera comes with a laser autofocus which is first of its kind on a smartphone, we will have to wait and see how the camera performs on this device. Since the LG G2 had pretty good camera, we expect G3 also to have a good camera. G3 also comes with Knock Code, which enables users to unlock their device with a pattern of taps. Merging security and convenience, users can create a personalized code that can be entered anywhere on the screen. With the G3, users have the option of being able to use KnockON to wake the screen to check the time as well as enter the home screen directly via Knock Code.
Price and Release Date:
There is no mention on the pricing as of now. Starting on May 28 in South Korea, LG G3 will begin rolling out worldwide on over 170 carriers. Additional details will be announced locally at the time of availability.
