LG has announced its flagship phone, the G3 in India. The device was first announced a couple of months back and comes with impressive specs for a flagship phone. The phone is the successor of the popular G2 which was announced last year in August. The new flagship comes with 5.5 inch Quad HD 2560×1440 display and run on Android 4.2.2, KitKat. The phone comes with an advanced 13MP camera with OIS+ and laser autofocus and 2.1MP front camera. The phone has a Quad HD display which is first of its kind on a main stream device.
Apart from this, the phone also runs on a Snapdragon 801 processor. There will be 16GB internal storage which will come with 2GB RAM and also 32GB storage which has 3GB of RAM included. The device will also come with a 3000mAh battery like LG G2. This is one of the most anticipated device after the Samsung Galaxy S5 which was released back in February at the MWC 2014 in Barcelona. The phone is priced at Rs 47999 for the 16GB variant and 50999 for the 32GB variant.
The G3 comes with the power and volume keys on the back panel similar to how it was in G2. Although the G3 has a 5.5 inch display, the extremely small bezels make it look and feel like a 5 inch display device. The device has a metallic finish on the back cover, but it is made of plastics.
The Quad HD IPS+ LCD display has a resolution of 1440 x 2560 with 534ppi which is kind of very high. The display is vibrant and has good quality and viewing angles. It also has Corning Gorilla glass protection.
LG has worked on the UI of G3 and is much better than what we saw on the G2. The G3 also comes with 13MP camera with Optical Image Stabilization and also laser auto focus which is kind of first on a smartphone. The device feels pretty good in hands with great quality materials and fit and finish.
The laser auto focus works really well and focuses the objects pretty quickly.
It also features accessories like the Quick Circle case, Wireless charger and also Tone Infinim headphones.
Here is a hands on video of the device.
