At an event in Beijing today, Xiaomi has announced their new flagship phone the Xiaomi Note. Although the company has another Note series in the form of Redmi Note, this is the new flagship in the phablet category. The device comes with a 5.7 inch Full HD (1920 X 1080P) display with JDI panel and 1400:1 contrast ratio and uses a new dynamic contrast pixel adjustment technology. The device is powered by 2.5Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, Adreno 330 GPU and there is 3GB RAM.
The phone comes with 13 MP Sony IMX214 CMOS sensor with f/2.0 aperture, Dual LED with two tone flash and there is 4 MP with large 2-micron pixels front camera.
The phone comes in 16GB and 64GB variants.

Xiaomi also announced Note Pro, which comes with even better specs. The device has the same 5.7 inch display, but has 2k resolution at 2560X1440 pixels. It is powered by 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810processor and 4GB of RAM. The device also comes with 64GB internal storage. The others specs mainly the camera and battery remains the same. Both the devices support 4G LTE.
Price and Availability:
The device is priced 2299 Yuan for the 16GB, which roughly translates to Rs 23000 in Indian Rupees or $370 which looks pretty good considering the specs. The 64GB version is priced ¥2799. We are not sure on the availability aspect especially the global launch.
The Xiaomi Note Pro comes for ¥3299 (approx $530 or Rs 33,000). This is real good pricing for a flagship with great specs.
