Couple of days back Microsoft announced the new chapter in Windows 10. The company announced new features for the OS including Cortana, new web browser code named Project Spartan and also universal app with better user experience. Windows 10 will be the new OS which will be powering the desktops, Laptops, tablets and also phone. Cortana has been available on Windows Phone for quite some time now and it is now coming to desktop as well.
The new start menu on Windows 10 has been further evolved from the technical preview and comes with more features. Now, the January build of Windows 10 is out and you can install it on your PC.
Getting started with Windows 10:
- If you haven’t yet signed up for the Windows Insider program, start here.
- If you’re currently configured for the Fast or Slow rings, the build is available now.
- Just like last time, this new build will come to you automatically via Windows Update, installed during your maintenance window if your PC is plugged in and on or sleeping.
- If you don’t want to wait for it to download and install on its own – you can go to PC Settings, Update and recovery, Preview builds and click the Check Now button to go get it now.
- This is a full build, and it will be installed as an in-place upgrade, so you’ll go through those colorful “installing your apps” screens again. This is because your account is being re-provisioned after the upgrade.
The build version is 9926 and is also available in ISO.
