Micromax’s new brand, the Yu was announced in partnership with Cyanogen back in December 2014 and their first device, the Yu Yureka went on sale in the second week of Jan 2015. The device has great specs for a price of Rs 8999 and it is sold exclusive on Amazon and you need to register to buy the device.
The phone has 5.5 inch HD display, Octa Core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage along with a 13MP rear camera and Android 4.4 KitKat. Although Yu is a subsidiary of Micromax, it is a company under different name (Yu Televentures) and Yu branded phones cannot be serviced at the Micromax service center.

Based on the request from our readers, here are the details on the Yureka Warranty and servicing.
Warranty Details of Yureka:
YU devices come with extensive warranty for 12 months warranty on the handset and 6 months warranty on out of box accessories (battery, charging adapter, USB data cable & in-ear headset). The warranty starts from the date of purchase (Amazon invoice will be required as a proof of purchase).
The warranty will be void only in 3 scenarios as mentioned below:
- Any kind of water damage.
- Any kind of accidental damage.
- Any kind of damage arising through wear and tear or rough usage of the product.
Service Centers in India:
Generally for all devices, the mode of service and repairs in India is to take to the nearest center available in your city. But Yu has a different approach here, instead of investing in service centres, the company has different method where in they will provide door step service to our customers in India. So in case you have issues with the device, you can either call or email the support.
Method of Service:
- For any issues with the handset or the accessory, customer need to contact YU support team.
- YU Support team will do necessary troubleshooting on the handset/accessory to confirm the issue.
- Once YU Support team confirms the issue, they will raise a ticket to authorize the replacement of the handset/accessory.
- The doorstep replacement of the handset/accessory service is currently available in 115 cities in India.
- For cities, where the doorstep service is not available. Customers can send the device directly to our central service centre and we will reimburse the courier amount to them.
- The warranty of the replaced handset/accessory will continue to be from date of purchase of the original handset/accessory.

There are many cities/ States where there is no pick facility available and for these people, they will have to courier the phone to Delhi for any repairs. Remember, the customer will NOT have to bear the cost of sending the device as it is covered under warranty. So in case you are sending the device, make sure you insure it with the courier service so that there wont be any issues in transit.

1.Just Dial *#*#7769#*#* (Proximity sensor calibrate)
2.You will see 2 options Start and Exit
3.Click on Start.
4.Move your finger over proximity sensor for 3-4 times and try to change the value on screen.
5.If values are changing after 3-4 tries then your problem is solved.
STILL not solved then report the problem and get the engineer to fix it. brand new phone should not have such problem.

1. Screen turning off / black once I press dial button. Unable to disconnect call there after.

My Yureka is not getting switched on nor even getting charged. Its almost a week that I raised complaint with customer service but no use. I have been following up them since a week n hearing the same story “technical team ll call u asap”. I didnt get call from anyone till now. Ticket no 1227539. The phone went dead within 4 months without any reason.
Called customer support.
Uploaded video as advised by them
Called customer support confirmed that the receipt of video
Calling them since last 11 days daily but only reply from them is sorry we are concerned we will call u back
Any body can help in this matter!!!!!!
After their call they will send a format which I have to fill and send them and again call to confirm receipt of format. Then they will send me the transreciver withing 10 WORKING DAYS.
Worst customer support I have faced so far
So advised don’t buy the phone otherwise you may have to go through the problem which I am going on now presently

i’m GLENSON JACKSON. i have purchased new micromax yureka phone on june this year. my phone is performing well. but there is some problem which, sometimes ,others cannot hear my voice while calling others and whenever i change my ringtone i couldn’t hear it when someone calls … so kindly take remedial measures and please contact me….
There may be some network issue. Whenever there is some issue you can disconnect and then content again. If the problem is not solved then you may contract customer care
Do they even exchange the broken earphone sent by them and i am having problem with network like my e,h,h+symbol arnt visible for Airtel but other it does work
