While HTC has not done any changes to the display and it is still Full HD, Samsung has employed a Quad HD display on Galaxy S6 with a staggering 557 pixels per inch. So in the display aspect, probably the Galaxy S6 wins, but we need to test it in real to see how the performance is. Processor wise, while HTC has gone ahead with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, octa-core at 2.0 GHz even with reports of heating issues, Samsung has employed Exynos Octa Core processor (Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5Ghz).
Both the devices have 3GB of RAM. In the internal storage Samsung is offered in 32, 64 and 128GB options, HTC comes with only 32GB storage. An important change in Galaxy S6 is that there is no support for microSD card, but HTC One M9 can be expanded to 128GB.
On the imaging front, both the devices are well equipped with good cameras and we cannot comment unless we test it. Samsung Galaxy S6 has f1/1.9 and claims it to be the best in business.
Additional features on the Galaxy S6 include finger print scanner, heart rate sensor, wireless charging and Samsung Pay. Both the phones will be available in March 2015.
