Apple has just announced the new Macbook at a special event. The new Macbook is just 2 pounds in weight (around 900gms) and just 13.1mm thin at the thickest section. The new Macbook has a 12-inch screen and comes with Apple’s Retina display family with a 2304 x 1440 resolution. Apple says that it consumes 30 percent less power than previous displays.
There is also a new keyboard, which spans the full width of the new MacBook. The Keyboard has a new backlight mechanism where in there is an LED for each for the keys.
The new Macbook runs on Intel Core M processor and is also fanless and consumes only 5 watts. The new trackpad is called Force Touch trackpad and it can tell the difference between a light tap and a deep press. You can adjust the sensitivity of the trackpad to decide how much pressure it takes to click. You can click anywhere. And clicks are quieter.
The logic board is 67% smaller than the one in the 11-inch MacBook Air and this allows Apple to add extra space with batteries and this gives all day battery life on the Macbook.
The new Macbook comes with USB C port. This new connectivity standard gives you power, USB data transfer, DisplayPort, HDMI, and VGA capabilities. This standard will come to other devices as well in the coming months. It also comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. The new MacBook is the world’s most energy-efficient notebook.
