Last year Micromax had announced the Canvas Fire series and we had reviewed the Canvas Fire 2 which has pretty decent specs for the price. Few days back Micromax announced the new phone in the Fire series, the Canvas Fire 4 (A107) and the device is the first smartphone from Micromax which runs Android Lollipop 5.0 out of the box.
The phone has 4.5 inch FWVGA display (854 X 480) and is powered by 1.3Ghz Quad Core Processor with 1GB RAM. There is also 8GB internal storage which can be expanded to 32GB via microSD card. On the imaging front, it features a 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera. The device is priced Rs 6999 and here is the unboxing and first impressions of the device.
Here is the unboxing video of Canvas Fire 4:
Inside the box:
- Micromax Canvas Fire 4
- Earphone
- USB Cable
- Charger
- Screen Guard
- Warranty/ Manuals
Design wise, the device looks pretty decent with curved back panel all round and has a matte finish. We have the grey variant of the device and it feels good in hands. The rear panel has good quality matte finish. The power and volume keys have a silver finish and are located at the right side. The top houses the 3.5mm audio jack and the micro USB charging slot.
The rear panel houses the 8MP rear camera with dual LED flash and there is again a silver finish around the camera and flash. Two horizontal silver color lines run on top and bottom similar to iPhone. At the center of the rear panel, there is Micromax logo which is backlit and blinks when there is a new notification.
The front panel houses the 4.5 inch FWVGA display (854 X480) and has Corning Gorilla Glass protection. While the touch response is smooth, the display is poor in terms of resolution. You can clearly see the pixels in the display as the resolution is poor. The phone has dual SIM card support and also microSD for expanding the storage. There is also 22000mAh battery included which is removable.
The phone is powered by 1.3Ghz Quad core processor from Mediatek with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, out of which close to 4.5GB is available to the user on first boot. You can expand the storage and also install apps directly on the SD card. The performance was good on the device and did not have any lags in the first use.
The device is priced Rs 6999 and available on online stores as well as retail outlets. We will have the detailed review coming up on our blog soon, meanwhile do check out our YouTube channel for more videos on this device.

Can you tell me that is right or wrong
yes i found same touch problem i sent back for replacement is this because of Android 5.0 bugs or its hardware problem ?
The unit we tested did not have any such issues. The touch response was smooth and no lags at all. Nor there was any issue with Android 5.0 Lollipop, the performance was good.

To solve the touch problem in mmx canvas fire 4 a107 . u can update your phone to the V3 rom Lollipop 5.0 official release. It will solve the touch issue as mine was fixed after updating your rom from V1 to V3. Consult xda developers or skyneel for the V3 rom update and how to do it. Hope your problems would be solved.
