Along with the announcement of Xiaomi Redmi 2, the company also launched their tablet, the MiPad in India. The MiPad was officially launched last year in May in China. The MiPad is the first tablet from Xiaomi and it comes with a 7.9-inch (2048 × 1536 pixels) display and is powered by 2.2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with 192-core Kepler GPU. There is 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage available on the tablet.
On the imaging aspect, the device has 8MP rear camera with 5-element lens, Sony BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP front-facing camera. The tablet runs Android and has custom MIUI which is optimized for tablets.
The tablet is just 9.4mm thin and weighs just 360gms. The tablet has 4:3 aspect ratio and the display has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The tablet also features USB OTG support. There is also a 6700mAh battery powering the tablet.
