Design wise, the tablet has lot of similarities with the Redmi Note with the curved edges and white glossy rear panel. The tablet has power and volume keys on the right side and they have a chrome finish. The 3.5mm audio jack is on the top and the micro USB charging slot is at the bottom.
The glossy rear panel has the 8MP camera, the Mi logo and the dual speakers located at the bottom. The display is a 7.9 inch with 326 pixels per inch (PPI) and a resolution of 2048 x 1536. There is Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the display and it is vibrant and sharp. The colors look pretty good on the display and the touch response is also very good.
