After launching the A6000 at the CES 2015 and subsequently in India in January, Lenovo announced the new A7000 at MWC 2015. The phone competes with Yu Yureka, Xiaomi Redmi Note, Honor 4X and other affordable phablets. Lenovo has now launched the A7000 in India today. The Lenovo A7000 comes with a 5.5 inch HD (1280 X720p) display and is powered by a 64 bit MediaTek MT6752m TruOcta Core processor clocked at 1.5Ghz. There is also 2GB RAM available on the phone.
The device also comes with 8GB internal storage which is expandable via microSD card. This is also the first smartphone to feature Dolby Atmos for superior sound.
While all the other phablets in the sub 10k price point have 13MP camera, the Lenovo A7000 features only a 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. But the good thing about the A7000 is that it comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box along with Vibe UI on top of it. We also wrote about the AnTuTu benchmark score for this device, which is at 42538 and looks like a powerful device in the budget category, although we need to test it to see how the real performance is.
The phone also features 4G LTE similar to the competition and supports bands in India.

A7000 also sports a 2900mAh battery which is in par with the competition. The A7000 is just 7.99mm thin an weighs 140g which makes it one of the lightest budget phablets around.
Price and Availability:
The Lenovo A7000 is priced Rs 8999 which we feel is an good pricing from the company considering that Yu Yureka is priced Rs 8999. The device will be exclusive to Flipkart similar to the A6000. The phone will be available starting April 15th 2PM and the registrations starts 7th April.
