Sony has announced their flagship phone for 2015, the Xperia Z4. The new Sony Xperia Z4 is almost similar to the predecessor expect for change to processor. The phone features a 5.2-inch Full HD display screen with a resolution of 1920X1080p. Sony has retained the Full HD resolution while Samsung has gone with Quad HD, even HTC is now using QHD for its smartphones. The Xperia Z4 will be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor. The device will come with 3GB of RAM is inside along with 32GB of internal storage included. There is also microSD card support upto 128GB in case you want to expand it.
Design wise, the Xperia Z4 looks very similar to Z3, but the company says that its new flagship is 6.9mm thin, weighs 144 grams, which is .4mm thinner than its predecessor and weighs 8 grams less. It is made on a metal frame.
On the imaging front there is a 20.7MP rear camera and a with a wide angle 5.1MP snapper on front for selfies and video chats. The handset is IP6 certified for dust and IP5 and IP8 certified for water. This means the phone can be submerged to 4.92 feet for as long as 30 minutes without any issues.
On the software front, the phone comes with Android 5.0 out of the box. A 2930mAh battery is included on the device which we feel is pretty good capacity for a 5.2 inch device. As of now there is no mention on the pricing or the release date of the device. It is expected to go on sale in Japan first
The company also announced the cover accessory for the device which allows you to receive a calls while closing the cover or use the camera or music player. The device will come in White, Black, Copper, Aqua Green colors.
