Spice Mobiles, an OEM based in India, has jumped the 4G LTE bandwagon with the launch of their new smartphone, the Spice Stellar 519. It is the company’s first 4G LTE enabled Android phone and is priced in the budget category. The phone comes with a 5-inch display which has a resolution of FWGA (480×854 pixels) and is powered by 1.2Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon Quad core processor with 1GB of RAM.
The device has 8GB internal storage which is expandable to 32GB via micro SD card.
The phone has 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a front 3.2MP camera for selfies and video calls. The phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, but there is no mention on updates to Android Lollipop. The phone supports 4G LTE in India and comes with dual SIM card.
The phone also has 2500mAh battery powering it. While the specs looks pretty decent for the price, the display resolution is very low considering other OEMs are offering HD and qHD displays at this price point.
Spice Stellar 519 is priced Rs 8499 and will be available in major retail stores and also online via Saholic. The device comes in Slate Grey and Steel Blue colors.
