Last week Huawei debuted two new budget smartphones in the Honor series, the Honor 4C and Honor Bee. The Honor 4C has specs very similar to the Honor 4X which was announced couple of months back. The Honor 4C comes with 5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 X 720 (HD). The phone is powered by a 1.2Ghz Octa Core Kirin processor which is a 64 bit processor. The device has 2GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which is expandable. The phone also comes with the same 13MP rear camera with flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and video calls.
Similar to the 4X, the device has Android 4.4 KitKat with EMUI3.0 which is the custom UI from the company. The phone also feature 2550mAh battery. The missing feature compared to competition is the lack of 4G LTE support.
Here is the quick unboxing and first impressions of the device.

Here is the unboxing video of the device.
Design wise, the device looks very similar to the Honor 4X and has the volume and power buttons on the right side and the 3.5mm audio jack on the top and the micro USB charging slot at the bottom. The rear panel has a matte finish which comes with a pattern, but it is slightly different from what we saw on Honor 4X. The phone has the 13MP rear camera with LED flash and the Honor branding.
The front panel has the 5.0 inch HD display, front camera and the sensors. At the bottom there is the three capacitive touch bottoms which have the Android Lollipop design, even though the phone runs KitKat. The overall build quality of the device is very good and has the same quality as that of Honor 4X.
The display is 720p HD with good colors and great viewing angles. The touch response was also pretty good on the device. The phone has dual SIM card support with 3G support and unlike the 4X, there is no 4G LTE support even though the chipset has support for it. There is also microSD for expanding the storage. The phone comes with 2550mAh battery included which is non-removable.
The phone is powered by Octa core Kirin 620 processor with 2GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, out of which close to 3.8GB is available to the user on first boot. You can expand the storage via microSD card. The performance was good on the device and did not have any lags in the first use. The phone has a custom Emotion UI 3.0 (EMUI) and comes with lots of customizations and features. The EMUI is almost similar to what is being offered on Honor 4X and Honor 6 Plus.
The device is priced Rs 8999 and available on Flipkart. We will have the detailed review coming up on our blog soon, meanwhile do check out our YouTube channel for more videos on this device.
