Design wise, the Meizu M1 Note resembles the iPhone 5C in many aspects including the color options, the curved rear panels and glossy finishing along with the single navigational button. The hardware buttons on the M1 Note are rather awkwardly placed. The volume keys are seperate buttons with the same color finishing and gives a great feel when using and are placed on the left side. The power button is placed on the top along with the 3.5mm audio jack. The micro USB charging slot along with speaker and microphone are located at the bottom.
The rear panel has the 13MP camera along with dual tone LED flash and the Meizu logo at the bottom. Although the rear panel is made of glossy finished plastics, it feels really good in hands and has great build quality.
The slim bezels around the display makes the device compact. The front panel has the 5MP camera on the top and the home button at the bottom. This capacitive button has a circular shape and is backlit and also lights up for notifications. Meizu M1 Note has a unibody polycarbonate chassis and can take two SIM cards with a tray that’s accessed from the side. The phone supports 4G LTE in India.
The device has 5.5 inch Full HD display which looks very good and has great colors as well. The touch response is also very smooth and the viewing angles are also great. The phone has dual SIM card support with 4G support. There is no microSD for expansion slot, so you need to live with the 16GB storage. The phone comes with 3140mAh battery included which is non removable. The phone comes with 16GB internal storage and there is close to 12GB in the first boot.
The phone utilizes the 64-bit MT6752 chipset from Mediatek which is an octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz with Mali-T760 GPU. The performance was great in the first use and there was no lag. The phone runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and there is Flyme OS 4.0 on top of it. The Flyme OS has a polished looks and comes with basic tools, but does not include Google apps like Gmail, YouTube and others. The OS gives a completely new look and feel for Android.
The phone comes with vibrant colors including Blue, Green and Yellow along with white. The device is priced Rs 11999 and available on Amazon. We will have the detailed review coming up on our blog soon, meanwhile do check out our YouTube channel for more videos on this device..
