At the Computex, the annual tech event in Asia, ASUS has announced the new Zenfone Selfie, a smartphone focused on better selfie experience. Of late, lot of OEMs have been focusing on front camera and we have seen Sony and HTC announce selfie focused device. The new Zenfone Selfie comes 13MP front and rear cameras and on top of this, both the cameras have dual LED flash.
The Zenfone Selfie comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD display with 403ppi and has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The device is powered by Snapdragon 615 Octa core processor. ASUS has been using Intel processor for their Zenfones and this is the first time the company has used Snapdragon chipset.
The phone also comes with rear 13MP camera with dual LED flash and laser auto focus similar to the one found on LG G4. The phone has design very similar to Zenfone 2 and we are expecting the device to come with Android 5.0 Lollipop. The front camera on the device has f/2.2 with its 88-degree field of view and there is also panorama mode that extends this to 140 degrees, letting you easily take group pictures.
There is no mention on the battery and also the pricing and release date. We will update this once the press release from ASUS gets underway.
