Windows 10 is the upcoming OS from Microsoft and company has already released preview version and has been updating it with new features. Windows 10 is slated to release later this year. But now, we have some leaked information on the release date and also the pricing of Windows 10 via online site Newegg. As per the Pre-order listing on Newegg, Windows 10 is slated to release on August 31st.
Microsoft had released Windows 8 in October and so was 8.1 which was made available to public on October 17th. Going by this leak, we are expecting Windows 10 to ship a bit early than expected.
Now coming to the pricing, Microsoft has already mentioned that Windows 10 will be a free upgrade for all eligible systems in the first year and if you are looking to buy a new copy, the Windows 10 Professional version is $149.99 and Home version is priced $109.99. This is actually $10 higher than the respective pricing of Windows 8.
Newegg has already put this for pre-order with all the details included. Meanwhile Microsoft hasn’t made available the final pricing or release dates of Windows 10. The company also clarified that pirated versions of Windows 8 or 7 can be upgraded, but they wont be available as a free upgrade, but offered at a competitive pricing.
We can expect Microsoft to announce more details on release and pricing of Windows 10 this month.
