Micromax, India’s largest mobile OEM has finally launched the company’s first 4G LTE enabled handset, the Canvas Knight 2. While the company’s subsidiary Yu Televentures had launched Yureka and Yuphoria which does support 4G LTE, there were no phones with Micromax branding which supports LTE in India. The Micromax Canvas Knight 2 comes with 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD AMOLED display and it is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor.
There is 2GB RAM included in the phone along with 16GB internal storage which can be expanded.
The phone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and design wise, it has lot of similarities with Micromax Canvas Hue. On the camera front, the phone a 13MP auto focus rear camera with a 5P lens layout along with LED Flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. It has a metal frame with glass back that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It also comes with enhanced soundware with Cirus Logic Wolfson Stereo WM8998.
The Canvas Knight 2 sports a 2260mAh battery that’s rated to deliver up to 7 hours and 45 minutes of talk time, and 335 hours of standby time. The phone has dual SIM card slot.
Commenting at launch, Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax Informatics, mentioned that the company’s popular portfolio including the Unite and Nitro series would also be upgraded to 4G LTE support.

The device is priced Rs 16,299 and will go on sale across India from June 10.
